Phillips Edison & Company Appoints Kevin O’Neil as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel
CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Phillips Edison & Company (“Phillips Edison” or the “Company”), announced today the appointment of Kevin O’Neil as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel. In his new role, Mr. O’Neil will work closely with the General Counsel and the business teams to provide advice to the Company relating to its corporate, compliance and securities legal needs.
Mr. O’Neil has more than 25 years of experience, both domestically and internationally, in the areas of securities law, M&A, corporate financing, corporate governance, corporate law, defense from activist shareholders, executive compensation, corporate compliance, and serving in the corporate secretary function. He has also served as an executive officer and on boards of companies and subsidiaries in such countries as France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Singapore, and Thailand.
Prior to joining Phillips Edison, Mr. O’Neil held several roles at Bob Evans Farms, Inc. (NASDAQ:BOBE) in New Albany, Ohio, including Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary. He also served as Vice President and Executive Counsel at Convergys Corporation (NYSE:CVG), in Cincinnati, Ohio, and as Vice President, General Counsel of Myers Industries, Inc. (NYSE:MYE), in Akron, Ohio. Mr. O’Neil was previously counsel with Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, in its Cincinnati, Ohio office.
Mr. O’Neil was selected as a “Top Rated Lawyer in Mergers & Acquisitions” by the National Law Journal, The American Lawyer, and Corporate Counsel publications, and named a "Top Lawyer in Central Ohio" by Columbus C.E.O Magazine.

Mr. O’Neil earned his law degree from The University of Akron Law School, and has a bachelor’s degree with honors from Wittenberg University.
